Silver Surfers – LDT are accredited by the British Computer Society to operate various courses designed to improve the IT skills of the community. Initially in association with RVS and latterly on our own, LDT has provided a number of Beginners Computer Courses & internet lessons, open to all. The laptops and equipment used for these courses and services were funded by a Comic Relief grant. With the onset of Covid 19, the laptops were donated to kids in the local area to allow them to access remote schooling.

Community Orchard – LDT, In conjunction with the Wise Group and Forestry Commission, have created a Community Orchard in the area bounded by the M74, B7078, Parks Corner & Eastwood Road. The fruit in this orchard is free for anyone to collect and consume but we ask that as it’s a free resource for the village, no-one should collect fruit for commercial gain.
Paths to Progress – Provision of a new country walkway in association with the Wise Group & Forestry Commission.
