Would you like to learn the skills necessary to lead cycle rides on roads and cycle paths?

Coalburn and Lesmahagow Bike Club are running a Cycle ride leader training course at the One Stop Shop at Coalburn Miners welfare on the Saturday 23rd October.

We will be organising a series of rides aimed to build confidence with anyone who wants to become more active and explore the area by bike.

You should be a confident rider with good communication skills.  Cycle Ride Leaders will be a minimum of 18 years old.  Candidates age 16 & 17 can arrange by prior agreement to train as a Led-Ride Assistant. On completion of this course, you will have the knowledge and training to confidently lead a group on rides using roads and cycle paths.

This is a one day course, free for people willing to volunteer a bit of their time. You will need a bike in working order and clothing appropriate for the weather.
