Book Launch April 13th

On Friday evening,The Development Trust had the pleasure of hosting a launch for the book “The Fallen of Lesmahagow Parish in The Great War 1914-1918”. The book contains abbreviated military, family and social histories of the 214 fallen servicemen from Lesmahagow, Blackwood, Coalburn, Kirkfieldbank and Crossford. The book is on sale/available to order from the Development Trust at 56 Abbeygreen Lesmahagow. The books are £6 each. A donation will be made to The Commonwealth War Graves Commission for every book sold.

St Andrew’s Hospice Homecoming Appeal

St Andrew’s Hospice are raising funds bag packing in Tesco Lesmahagow on Saturday 2nd June.The hospice is celebrating Homecoming for the next few months as they have just welcomed patients back into their newly refurbished home. They are appealing for volunteers to help with the bag pack as well as some local talent,dance groups,singers,bands and such like to create a bit of a show in the foyer. Football Classics 25th April 12.30pm

The next meeting of the Football Classics Group is Wednesday 25th April at 12.30pm when we will have a screen showing of the 2005 European Cup Final between Liverpool and AC Milan. Come and see Liverpool’s dramatic comeback from 3-0 down to win the cup after a penalty shootout. Good company and football banter guaranteed.
